Focus
IAEF seeks to raise awareness about the plight of children with disabilities and the perils of discrimination and segregation of the disabled. IAEF supports integrated educational programs that minimize the gap between disabled and able-bodied children. IAEF also works to educate mainstream America about the Indian American community and its cultural heritage.

Example Project
The IAEF supports a number of education and health-oriented initiatives such as the Established Voice and Vision resource center for training teachers of special education at the Helen Keller Institute for the Deaf and Blind in Mumbai, India (in collaboration with the Perkins School for the Blind, Boston). Other projects include support for Deepalaya, the largest NGO in Delhi.
