Focus
IDRI is a nonprofit biotechnology research institute. Its focus is to identify early scientific leads for vaccines, diagnostics, and therapeutics and to develop these leads into products that can be produced at affordable prices for use among low-income populations in the developed world.

Specific Work in India
With partner institutions, such as the Institute of Medical Sciences at Benares Hindu University, IDRA is actively searching for vaccines for infectious diseases such as TB, leprosy and malaria. Also partners with UW Public Health, Public Affairs and other departments.
