Example Project
The Question Box Project seeks to bring the Internet to those who do not have access to a computer. Question Boxes are phone-based hotlines manned by a live Operator that allow users to ask questions searchable on the Internet. This simple and innovative system relies on verbal communication; results from a recent pilot study in two villages outside of Delhi indicate that it is easy to use and facilitates exploration and access.
